The installation consists of 9 monitors which are installed on small baby strollers. The face of an infant in slow motion appears on the monitor as black & white video of 30 min loop. The viewers are allowed to move the strollers around as far as the length of the cables. Plastic black box at the center of the installation distributes the video signal to the monitors through the white electric cables.
For parents, their baby is the proof of their identities. When one utilizes something to prove her/his identity, the something becomes an idea. Today’s consumerism fosters the proliferation of that kind of ideas. Once the idea gets shared under the power of people's desire to prove themselves, it proliferates endlessly. Possession of something/somebody for the sake of their identities is exploitation of its existence.
